from a press release
The Winfield Police Department received a report that on Tuesday, September 11 at approximately 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., a subject attempted to lure a 9 year old boy into his vehicle by offering candy, telling the boy he wanted to talk to him and then followed the boy for a short time.
The subject is described as male, white, age unknown, black mustache, black goatee, orange hat covering his head, long sleeve black jacket and having a black star tattoo on his right forearm.
The subject’s vehicle was described as black, boxy shaped GM vehicle similar to a Cadillac, older with lots of dents on it, tires all scratched up and the rear window smashed with a baseball sized hole in it.
On Thursday, September 13, a subject and vehicle were seen in the same vicinity from Tuesday’s incident which closely matched the original witness description, with the exception that the subject was not wearing a hat.
